Elegant Deering Estate Wedding | Yocelyn & Albert

Deering Estate Stone House Wedding Reception
Yocelyn & Albert’s enchanting Deering Estate Wedding in Miami was straight out of a Bridgerton episode. During our initial consultation I learned that Yocelyn and I are both very big Bridgerton fans, so I instantly knew her day would be inspired by the series. We also learned that Yocelyn and Albert would be getting married at Deering Estate which immediately made us so excited! The Deering Estate is one of Miami’s most prestigious wedding venues and is a historic site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Throughout our meeting we spoke extensively about how she wanted to incorporate florals throughout the day. She felt strongly about having the natural elements of the historic Deering Estate present throughout all areas. She also mentioned how she wanted to incorporate greenery throughout the ceiling of the reception tent…an installation we were thrilled about!

Yocelyn knew from the beginning that she wanted her floral color palette to include white and ivory tones with an abundance of greenery throughout. She wanted to keep it classic and timeless which lent itself perfectly to the venue. She also requested her centerpieces be elevated in order to draw the eye up to the beautiful surroundings of the stone house that sat right beside the reception area. We then curated a mood board that checked off all of their boxes, inclusive of the flowers we envisioned using. A few revisions and additions later, we were onboard to design this beautiful day!

Garden style bride bouquet with lush white and ivory florals and touches of greenery
While planning the florals I’d be using to design Yocelyn’s bouquet, I wanted to make sure to keep it very traditional but also include some unique elements that would lend itself to the venue. We sourced some additional distinctive flowers such as garden spray roses and white lilac which provided a whimsical and elegant texture. I truly enjoyed designing this bouquet, I find that it's a fun challenge to source distinct flowers for a bouquet when the color palette is very limited. It makes it all the more special when you see the elements come together. We also designed a very similar version of her bouquet for her maid of honor, which happened to be her twin sister, Identical beauties with beautiful coordinating bouquets!

The statement piece however was the ceremony arch. Fully adorned in lush greenery and accented with white and ivory florals throughout. The hundreds of stems held up so beautifully, even throughout the 90+ degree heat! Once the ceremony concluded, we were then able to repurpose and refresh the floral arch behind their sweetheart table, which lent itself for a stunning backdrop through the rest of the evening. It’s imperative to keep in mind when repurposing outdoor pieces, that some stems may need to be refreshed. We like to educate our couples on how this process flows since it requires additional time and labor on our end, in order to keep such a statement piece looking perfect throughout the remainder of the night. These small yet intricate details are what set us apart; ensuring all florals remain looking flawless at all times.

Yocelyn and Albert also had some really touching and heartwarming moments throughout their day. Our bride had a special request which included attaching a special pin of her grandfather’s picture to her dad’s boutonniere. We usually attach photo pins to the bride’s bouquets but we loved adding this special touch for her dad. Albert’s father was also his best man which lent itself to some extraordinary photos! It was evident that there was so much love shared on this day.

Yocelyn & Albert, we were so honored to be part of your incredibly special day. Thank you for trusting us with such intimate details of your wedding! We were honored to work with you both, and wish you both a marriage full of many beautiful blessings!

XoXo,

Iris & Isis
